Job Summary

As an ICU RN, you will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care in a fast-paced and dynamic healthcare environment. You will collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality and compassionate care to patients with acute medical conditions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Patient Assessment: Conduct comprehensive assessments of the patient’s health status, including physical, emotional, and psychosocial factors.
  • Care Planning: Develop individualized care plans based on assessment findings, patient goals, and evidence-based practices.
  • Direct Patient Care: Administer medications, perform treatments, monitor vital signs, and provide wound care as needed.
  • Patient Education: Educate patients and their families about their medical conditions, treatments, medications, and self-care strategies.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, therapists, and other healthcare team members to coordinate patient care and achieve optimal outcomes.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes in electronic medical records.
  • Quality Improvement: Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient safety, satisfaction, and outcomes.
  • Adherence to Policies: Adhere to hospital policies, procedures, and standards of nursing practice to ensure high-quality and safe patient care.
  • Professional Development: Engage in ongoing professional development activities, including continuing education and training, to stay current with best practices and advances in healthcare.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited nursing program.
  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in applicable state of practice, or compact license.
  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • Additional required certifications per specialty
  • Prior experience in acute care settings is preferred but not always required for entry-level positions.
  • Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and adapt to changing priorities and patient needs.
  • Commitment to providing compassionate and patient-centered care.
