Job Title: Nurse Educator Registered Nurse (RN)**

Job Summary:

A Nurse Educator RN provides leadership in nursing education, focusing on the development, implementation, and evaluation of educational programs for nursing staff. The Nurse Educator collaborates with healthcare teams to enhance clinical knowledge, skills, and competencies, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess the educational needs of nursing staff and develop educational programs, courses, and workshops to address clinical practice gaps.
  • Design and implement training programs that improve nursing competencies, clinical knowledge, and evidence-based practices.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and review clinical policies, procedures, and guidelines to ensure compliance with healthcare standards.
  • Deliver lectures, hands-on training, and simulation-based learning sessions for nursing staff.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of educational programs through assessments, feedback, and clinical outcomes.
  • Provide orientation and onboarding for new nurses, ensuring they are equipped with the knowledge and skills required to deliver high-quality care.
  • Develop and maintain competency assessment tools to track nurse performance and ensure staff are meeting clinical standards.
  • Serve as a clinical resource for staff, offering guidance and support on complex patient care situations.
  • Foster a culture of continuous learning by promoting professional development and encouraging staff participation in educational initiatives.
  • Collaborate with leadership to ensure appropriate staffing levels, clinical policies, and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Stay current with trends, research, and advancements in nursing education and clinical practice.
  • Participate in the development of clinical competency programs and continuing education requirements for nursing licensure and certifications.
  • Facilitate workshops and courses for leadership development, clinical skills, and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) preferred.
  • Licensure:
    • Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
  • Certification:
    • Certification in Nursing Professional Development (NPD-BC) or similar preferred
